What I was responsible for?
Experimental design
Collecting samples
Processing data and writing
(in progress, I will update this with an article when I am done writing; likely early July. I will obviously make it more reflective of the actual work done and to show a behind the scenes of what actually goes into writing a paper and research. I am planning to show the journey).
Here is a short overview of the steps i have taken so far and where we are now;
0. Start flowering measured.
1. 58 dwarf cashew trees (2 died).
2. Stem diameter measured.
3. Canopy diameter measured.
4. Distances and depths determined.
5. First batch of soil samples collected.
6. Analyzed; promising.
7. Full field soil samples collected.
8. Data processed in the laboratory.
9. Organized and reviewed.
10. Reading and sources.
11. Writing & feedback.
12. Repeat.
13. Repeat.
14. Repeat.
15. Yeah…
20. Publish ???? 😱
Take a look at the work i did at Embrapa 👇
Digging 60 holes up to 1 meter deep is a challenge
4 cylinders at 4 different depths, with 60 trees
So many samples!
Carefully sepperating the roots from the soil inside the lab
